How to Enable Edge Bar in Windows 11 or Windows 10

If you’d like to attach Edge Bar to your screen or launch Edge Bar right from Windows start-up, you can enable it in your Edge setting of your browser. This is how you can accomplish it.

Then, start first the Microsoft Edge browser on your PC and then click at the 3-dot (Ellipse) icon located at the top of the right-hand side of the browser window. After that, select the option ‘Settings’ in the menu dropdown.

How to Personalize Edge Bar Feed

You can customize the type of information, news, and updates you wish to see on Edge bar feed. You can customize the Edge Bar feed, by adding more interest in your feed as well as liking stories from news feeds.

You can also personalize the feed you receive by liking or disliking, and blocking news stories from the news feed within the Edge bar.

If you find news or other information that you like within the Edge bar feed, simply click the “Ellipse” (…) icon in the lower right side of the news item and then select the ‘More stories similar to the one you’re seeing’ (Like) option. When you do this, the Edge bar will display more stories that are related to the topic.

If you come across an article that you don’t like or bored of, then you may disliking the story by selecting the ‘Few stories similar to this’ alternative instead.

If you want to stop news from a particular source you aren’t sure about (For instance, Fox News), you can either block or remove the news source off your list. To do this simply click on the “Ellipse” (…) icon in the lower right-hand corner of the news feed and then select the ‘Hide news from’ …’ choice.

After that, select “Hide” to confirm that you are hiding stories from the source you have chosen to hide.

This will block all stories of the chosen provider and then refresh the feed.

If you decide to change your mind and would like to see information from a source that was blocked to be displayed in the future, visit My Interests by clicking the ‘Personalize’ link after which you can uncheck the source that you wish to remove from the section titled Hidden sources.

How to Customize Edge Bar
