When you connect to the Webex conference room you’ll see the control panel for meeting rooms on the lower right on the display.
In Meeting Controls there is the option to share content. When you click on it you will be presented with a variety of options, including sharing screen, share an application’s window, create a new whiteboards, and share a the file.
Sharing Full Screen (everything you can see on your screen)
To share your entire screen, select the option “Share Content” and then click the “Screen 1” share button to share the entire screen. If you have multiple monitors, they will appear in the form of “Screen 2” and so on. Up to 16 monitors can be supported by Webex Meetings.
When you click the share option in “Screen 1”, screen sharing will begin and a the toolbar for screen sharing will appear in the upper center of your screen. It will remind the user that they’re sharing their screen.
For stopping screen sharing,, move your mouse to the Screen Share toolbar and then click ‘Stop Sharing’. Just below the stop sharing button is a ‘Pause’ button which can be used to stop the Screen sharing conversation.
Share a Sepicific App Window
If you do not want to show the entire screen, it’s definitely possible to share just one application window you wish to display.
To share an application window, first you must select the share content option in the meeting control panel and choose the window you want to share in the drop-down menu.
For instance, if you wish to make it possible for others to access the contents of your Firefox web browser’s window. When you click on the share content , you will be able to see an option to share your Firefox share option in the section that is below”Share” in the “Screen 1” section. Click the Share option to distribute your Firefox window.
You may also choose to share windows of other applications like the one above. Every application that are running on your computer will be listed within this area.
