The second option involves installing driver upgrades using Windows updates. The “Optional updates” area of Windows update provides updates for drivers and you can download them by clicking here.
To upgrade the driver for your microphone using Windows Update, launch the ‘Settings’ application like we discussed previously and then select the Windows Update’ option from the left.
Then, select ‘Advanced options’ to the right.
Select ‘Optional updates under the “Additional options”.
NOTE: Windows mentions if there’s an update for the driver available under “Optional updates”. If none is available, you’ll need to go to the next option and skip the rest of the steps listed here.

Then, choose the driver update option for the microphone, then click “Download and Install” under this option to download and install it.
Once you have installed the upgrade, reboot your computer, if you are prompted to apply the update. This should resolve the issue with the microphone on Zoom.
If you can’t locate a driver update within Windows Update Windows update, that doesn’t eliminate the possibility of a driver update being available completely. A lot of device makers do not provide drivers updates directly to Microsoft. They upload them to their own website(s) rather.
